Have you ever worked on a team where not everybody has the same goal?

Early in my sales career, I was part of a sales team that, to put it mildly, wasn’t aligned. Each of us had different goals. Some wanted to kick back and relax, others wanted to get promoted and others were just out to sabotage everyone else.

Needless to say, it was not “happy camper” time and the poor results reflected the chaos.

The same situation applies to us in our professional and personal goals. The more they’re aligned and support each other, the less chaos we’ll have in our lives. Talk with a top-performer and they’ll say without hesitation how their personal and professional goals overlap and support each other.

Just as a team will never achieve its full potential without everyone working toward common goals, so too it is in our own lives.

When we’re aligned professionally and personally, we will exponentially increase the output in both our professional and personal life.
