What equipment are you using to make your sales calls with? The phone sales tips I share are typically about the content of the message, but this one is about what you use to say it. With more and more landlines being cut, we’re all finding more calls being made to cell phones or VOIP connections, etc. When using this other equipment, you need to be careful. Make sure you’re speaking with clarity and that your own equipment is not leaving a level of static or buzz that makes it hard for the other person to hear you. I know this sounds simple, but at least 10% of the messages that get left on my system are nearly impossible to decipher without listening to it a second time. To gauge the clarity of your line, make a call to your voicemail.
