Sales Training Tip #216: The Important Role of Motivation

Have you ever stopped to consider the role that motivation plays in your total success?  I believe that motivation creates momentum which creates opportunity.  Don’t miss out on potential opportunites simply because you haven’t started the ball rolling.  The beginning of the year is a great time to get yourself motivated!

I’ve seen many people (including myself) not acheive their goals because they waited too long to start.  When they finally did, the task seemed so overwhelming that they tossed the whole idea away.  It’s unfortunate how many opporutnities are never realized only because we fail to break our large tasks down into small ones that can be more easily started.  To quote the timeless phrase:  “How do you eat an elephant?  One bit at a time.”

 Expect the best in 2008 by achieving each of your goals one step at a time.
