Sales development entails a wide number of activities, one of which is ensuring you have a very good presence on the web. Sadly, I was talking to a person recently who seemed to feel that his small business couldn’t benefit from the web; therefore, he didn’t see a reason to use it. Not only is his business destined to always being small, but it also is destined to be low profit if he thinks he can forget about the web.

No matter what you’re selling, use the web to help create awareness and confidence with both customers and prospects. Yes, this means if you’re in sales, you can benefit from using some of the social media sites. I prefer to use LinkedIn and Twitter.
