Today, the United States is celebrating Labor Day — a holiday that dates back to the late 1800s.
While not everyone is off work on this holiday, quite a few companies do close and give their employees an extra day to spend relaxing.
Those of us in the sales industry may find it is a great day to catch up on such things as cleaning out the email inbox or reading sales-related articles. If that describes you, I hope you don’t spend too much time on those activities and you are able to get out and enjoy time with your friends and family too!
Wherever this day finds you, take a few moments to reflect on your career and what you like about sales.
The industry as a whole sometimes gets a bad rap, but the truth is that without sales, so much of what we take for granted wouldn’t happen.
I appreciate that sales is an opportunity to genuinely help people! We get to help people solve problems, experience benefits, reach desired outcomes and so forth! What a great privilege.
What about you? What do you like about the sales industry?
