Sales Motivation: Getting Rid of the Word “If”

Sales motivation is all about taking control and being responsible for your own actions. It’s about working through issues and not making excuses. Sales motivation does not allow the word “if” to enter your vocabulary. When I am asking salespeople about their business, I hear “if” too much, such as…“if the customer would only…” or “if we could only….”

Today more than ever there are incredible sales opportunities in every industry and channel. It merely takes sales persistence and sales motivation. Are you totally commitment to being obsessed with developing the customer and creating a value proposition that addresses the customer’s needs? It takes more than sales motivation. In nearly 100% of the truly motivated sales people I encounter, the word “if” is not part of their vocabulary. There are no excuses.
