Finally, a score that shows promise! I’m pleased 60% of respondents believe their sales will increase in 2009. This gives me a tremendous amount of encouragement. For the 40% that do not believe their sales will increase, this should also give them hope. I believe your sales should always be increasing, but remember that your net profit also needs to. Growing sales at the expense of profit is no way to run a business. I’ve seen too many instances lately where salespeople have been forgoing profit just to make a sale. Doing so may make you feel good, but like cocaine, it the quick high will surely end in doom.
