Are you wearing big boy pants or are you wearing training pants?
Worse yet, are you still in diapers?
It’s time you step it up and proudly wear the big boy pants and take control of things and get moving.
It’s early in a new year, which means the number of opportunities out ahead of you are significant. But for some of you wearing training pants or diapers, you’re still making excuses as to why you can’t do something.
Look at your prospect list.
See the big accounts on the list.
If you’re wearing diapers, you’re going to be afraid to make the call. On the other hand, if you’re wearing big boy pants, there is no hesitancy in making the call. What are you wearing?
Too many salespeople are slow to come out of the gate at the start of the year.
They see the calendar with 12 months and take the approach that they’ll take a few weeks to get things set up. Problem is by the time they do that, a good month or more has disappeared.
Whatever you might have encountered last year, forget about it. Don’t let the issues of last year deter you this year. It’s too easy to allow excuses to get in the way. If you’re going to make excuses, then go ahead and put on the diaper.
In fact, if you’re going to make excuses, you better buy yourself several very big packs of diapers, because you’re going to need them.
On the other hand, if you’re ready to get moving, to make the calls you need to make now and to forget about any excuses you made last year, then cinch of the big boy pants and let’s get moving.
